CODY CARTER OF THE CLUB AT SAVANNAH QUARTERS NAMED TO GOLF DIGEST’S “BEST YOUNG TEACHERS IN AMERICA” LIST

Pooler, Georgia (November 4, 2019) – Cody Carter, the head golf professional at The Club at Savannah Quarters in Pooler, Georgia, has been named to Golf Digest’s list of “Best Young Teachers in America.” Golf Digest biennially searches top young golf instruction talent (under the age of 40) to grow its roster of teaching’s next generation. Applications are submitted from across the United States, with 114, including Carter, appearing on the most recent list.

Carter, a former United States Marine and current member of the PGA of America, has been the head professional at The Club at Savannah Quarters since July 2018. After playing college golf at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, Carter joined the United States Marine Corps serving one year before being medically retired. He began his career in golf in Vidalia, Georgia at Vidalia Country Club. In 2011, Carter moved to Beaufort, South Carolina where he served as the assistant golf professional and director of instruction at The Legends Golf Course at Parris Island. He is currently a member of The Proponent Group and the Operation 36 network.  In 2017, Carter was presented with the Hilton Head PGA “Teacher of the Year” award as well as the Sportsmanship award with the First Tee of the Low country.  Cody and his wife, Amanda, have two children, Monroe (3) and Warren (1).
