Scottsdale, Ariz. (January 16, 2020) – Troon®, the leader in club management, development, and marketing, was named “Management Company of the Year” for 2019 by BoardRoom magazine in the publication’s 21st  annual “Excellence in Achievement” awards.” Announced in BoardRoom magazine’s December issue, this marks the sixth consecutive year Troon has been honored with the “Management Company of the Year” distinction.
BoardRoom Magazine’s industry peers review and select outstanding suppliers and consultants, which represent various aspects of course and club operations. Winners, each year, are selected for overall excellence in their respective fields, achievements, innovation, vision for future growth and continued impact on private club operations. The BoardRoom Magazine “Excellence in Achievement” awards are the private club industry’s only awards recognizing the clubs’ business partners.

“This ‘Excellence in Achievement’ award is a reflection of the outstanding professionals we have at our Troon Privé-managed clubs around the world,” said Tim Schantz, president, Troon. “We thank BoardRoom Magazine and our industry peers for the recognition.”

Troon Privé®, the private club operating division of Troon, oversees a global portfolio of prestigious clubs. Of the more than 100 private clubs under Troon Privé management, approximately half are member-owned. Troon Privé’s portfolio includes: BallenIsles in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; Belfair in Bluffton, South Carolina; Naperville Country Club in Naperville, Illinois; King Kamehameha Golf Club in Maui, Hawaii; Pronghorn in Bend, Oregon; Santa Ana Country Club in San Jose, Costa Rica; and Centurion Club in London, England.

“The BoardRoom Awards are the only awards in the private club industry that recognize private clubs’ business partners, and every year we see increasing innovation, achievement, a vision and dedication from BoardRoom Award recipients,” said John Fornaro, publisher of BoardRoom Magazine. “To our ‘Excellence in Achievement’ award winners, we offer our heartfelt congratulations.”
