Around the World With Troon and Patrick Koenig

In May, we invited Patrick Koenig, Golf Photographer and world record holder, to join us on a big golf adventure. The aim, golf around the world of Troon!

Starting off from his home in California he headed west an embarked on a 16-day adventure to check out some of the best golf course the international world of Troon has to offer. He travelled over 20,000 miles, visited 5 countries and played  Vattanac Golf Resort in Cambodia, Victoria Golf Resort in Sri Lanka, Al Mouj Golf and LA VIE Club in Oman, PGA National Czech Republic in Czech Republic and The Grove in the UK.

This is our quick fire round with Patrick:

Best airline food you ate on this trip

Ugh. They gave me one slice of Sbarro pizza in Istanbul when they messed up my connection and I had to sit around for 6 hours.

Pick one course to revisit, which would it be?

If I had to bring one friend to show off my favorite place, it would have to be Victoria Golf Resort. The golf course is unique, the staff are amazingly friendly and so are the local monkeys. It just feels like a place that not many people get to enjoy, but should!
