Designed by golf course architect Geoffrey Cornish and building designer D. Thomas Russillo, Alpine Country Club's golf course officially began play in 1961 with the clubhouse opening a year later on Easter Sunday. Alpine has a rich and colorful legacy and is one of the premier country clubs in Rhode Island. The club provides a wonderful lifestyle experience for individuals and families and takes a great deal of pride in the amenities offered to members. Those amenities include an 18-hole championship golf course, full driving range and practice putting green, golf shop, private men's and women's lockers rooms, indoor and outdoor dining, adult and children's swimming pools. On the culinary side, Alpine is well-known locally for having an exceptional array of menu selections in each of their dining rooms. Alpine Country Club is also environmentally-conscious having been certified by the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management. The club consistently reduces water usage, chemical usage for fertilization and pest control, energy consumption, solid waste and air emissions.
