Grass Clippings Rolling Hills is officially the first fully lit 18-hole golf course in Arizona. Located in the Papago Buttes it sits 5 minutes from Arizona State University, downtown Phoenix, and Old Town Scottsdale. Grass Clippings Rolling Hills sits in the heart of Phoenix Metro. In 1960, Milton Coggins and company designed the front nine. Twenty-seven years later in 1987, Gary Panks, an Arizona native, designed the back nine. The course remains 1 of 3 public golf courses in Tempe. Its importance cannot be overstated. This immaculate facility comprised of an 18-hole Executive Golf Course, 18 18-hole par 3 Golf Course at Night, and 93 acres in the heart of the Papago Buttes is a sight to see!
