200 Southern Trace Pkwy, Shreveport, Louisiana 71106Overview
Members of Southern Trace enjoy year-round amenities. The summer hot-spot is the resort-style swimming complex overlooking the 18th green and fairway; complete with a junior Olympic lap pool with a waterfall, a 12-foot “deep end” pool with two slides, a circular covered wading pool for little ones, a large sun deck, and the Shark Shack for a refreshing drink or quick bite to eat. Adjacent to the pool complex is the large tennis complex and pro shop. Members enjoy eight lighted courts – two clay and six hard courts – for play any time of day. The large clubhouse features an updated golf shop, Arthur’s Bar and Grill (named for course architect, Arthur Hills), men’s and ladies’ rooms with an e-room business center, the Halfway Café snack bar, a large banquet facility with a separate bar for events, and plenty of veranda, patio and porch space circling the clubhouse to relax on and enjoy gorgeous panoramic views of the golf course and lakes. Designed by the renowned Arthur Hills, the 7,015-yard golf course was voted number one in the state of Louisiana by Golf Digest on several occasions and for over 30 years has been regarded as the favorite place to play for golfers in Louisiana. Our gorgeous course provides varying landscapes encompassing celestial pine valleys, open meadows and a majestic oak forest. Once you play here on our carefully manicured fairways and championship Bermuda greens, you will understand why Mr. Hills proclaimed Southern Trace Country Club to be one of the most beautiful natural settings with which he has ever worked. Southern Trace is proud of its history including host site of the WEB.Com Tour’s Southern Open from 1990-2002, multiple State Amateur Championships and the AJGA David Toms Junior Invitational.
