Located on Maui's northwest shore, Kapalua stretches from emerald mountain peaks to the edge of the glistening Pacific Ocean. A 22,000-acre natural paradise unfolds, featuring award-winning accommodations, two world-class golf courses, unspoiled beaches, misty mountains, ancient lava flows and fields of fresh pineapple. Recognized as #1 in Hawaii, Kapalua's Plantation Course and Bay Course offer two distinct 18-hole championship experiences that are nothing short of divine. Measuring 7,411 yards long, The Plantation Course hosts the PGA Tour's Tournament of Champions each January, featuring an elite field of the previous year's PGA Tour winners. The field has included golf greats such as Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, Justin Leonard, Ernie Els, Davis Love III and many more. Designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, the grand scale of the course unfurls across natural geographic formations and pineapple plantation fields. The Bay Course, designed by Arnold Palmer and Francis Duane, represents the first of Kapalua's two championship golf courses. Measuring 6,600 yards long, the layout is an excellent example of resort golf at its best with gently rolling fairways and generous greens. Adding to the allure is the Kapalua Golf Academy, a state-of-the-art instructional facility unparalleled in Hawaii. Players can learn the basics or hone their skills when learning from some of the top golf instructors in the country.
