The club's 18-hole golf course has recently been redesigned by Robert Trent Jones Jr., creating a modern experience while still fully respecting the 1925 original intent of architect A. Vernon Macan. Included in the renovation is an enhanced practice facility and improved playing conditions comprised of new bunkers throughout the course. Challenging, fair and yet comfortably walk-able, members enjoy a stroll through the manicured landscaped of dramatic native oaks, tall eucalyptus, magnificent deodar cedars and ageless redwood trees that frame dramatic views to Mt. Diablo and beyond. The new RTJII practice facility has everything a golfer needs to work on all aspects of their game. With a 40-yard deep full-grass tee box, extended range area, and 24 spacious hitting stalls, members enjoy plenty of room to sharpen their skills. Also included in the new practice facility is are dedicated putting and chipping greens and a variety of bunkers and a hard-lie practice area. Remaining as a long-standing initiative, Contra Costa continues to utilize reclaimed water, while also respecting the need to remove areas from play with a return to native grassing. Contra Costa offers a variety of programs available for men, women, seniors, and junior golfers alike.
