PGA TOUR – FedEx St. Jude Championship

The FedEx St. Jude Championship, held at TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee, marked the exciting start of the FedEx Cup playoffs. This event is the first of three tournaments in the playoff series, showcased top-tier golf talent competing for crucial points and a chance to advance in the playoffs. Team Troon members made their presence felt throughout the tournament. Matt Fitzpatrick finished strong, tying for 12th place with a total score of 273 (-7).  Justin Thomas and Alex Noren both tied for 30th place, each carding a 275 (-5). Erik van Rooyen rounded out the Team Troon representation, finishing tied for 33rd with a score of 276 (-4).

The championship not only provided thrilling golf action but also continued its long-standing tradition of supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, having raised over $60 million since the partnership began in 1970.

As the first event in the playoffs, the FedEx St. Jude Championship set the stage for an exciting postseason, with Team Troon players showcasing their skills and competing against the best in the world. The tournament’s outcome will play a crucial role in determining who advances to the next stage of the FedEx Cup playoffs, adding to the intensity and significance of each player’s performance.

DP World Tour – D+D Czech Masters – at Troon International locale in PGA National Czech Republic

Last week, the DP World Tour returned to Prague for the D+D Czech Masters, held at the stunning Kyle Phillips-designed PGA National Czech Republic. This year marked the tournament’s 10th anniversary, and we were proud to host it at our Troon-managed facility. Alex Fitzpatrick finished strong with an impressive score of 272 (-16), showcasing his talent among notable players like Francesco Molinari, Danny Willett, and Luke Donald. The PGA National Czech Republic team, led by Paul Dennis and Lubos Hanskut, did a fantastic job, and we are excited to see what the future holds for this event! Well done to all involved

LPGA Tour/Epson Tour – Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic

Team Troon member Benedetta Moresco had an impressive performance at the Epson Tour’s Wildhorse Ladies Golf Classic held in Pendleton, Oregon.

In an outstanding display during round one, she played a bogey-free round, setting the tone for a strong tournament. By the end of the event, Benedetta finished within the top 20 with a remarkable score of 16 under par. This performance not only reflects her talent but also a testament to her hard work and dedication, and it’s exciting to see her making strides in her rookie season. Great playing Benny!

The BMW Championship, hosted at Castle Pines Golf Club, marks the second of three events in the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Following the conclusion of the FedEx St. Jude Championship, Justin Thomas, Matt Fitzpatrick, and Alex Noren have secured their spots in this prestigious tournament.

Starting with a field of 50 top-performing players, the BMW Championship serves as a crucial battleground for competitors vying to advance to the season-ending Tour Championship. Only the top 30 players in the FedEx Cup standings after this event will earn the coveted opportunity to compete in the Tour Championship.

This high-stakes competition at Castle Pines Golf Club will showcase intense action as players like Thomas, Fitzpatrick, and Noren aim to solidify their positions or climb the rankings to secure their place among the elite 30 who will advance to the final playoff event. The picturesque Colorado course is set to provide a challenging backdrop for this pivotal tournament in the race for the FedEx Cup.
