Team Troon - Matt Fitzpatrick, Justin Thomas, Gary Woodland, Yealimi Noh, Matt Kuchar, Alex Noren, Bubba Watson, Cheyenne Woods & Colin Montgomerie

Ryder Cup Teams Set

The Ryder Cup Teams are set for both Team USA and Team Europe and each respective team has Team Troon players represented. Team USA includes Zach Johnson’s captains pick in Justin Thomas and Team Europe includes auto qualifier Matt Fitzpatrick. Additionally Troon investor/supporter in Rory McIlroy was once again an automatic qualifier for Team Europe. It will be exciting to see all three compete for the Cup at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome, Italy, September 28-October 1, 2023.

DP World Tour – Omega European Masters

While the PGA TOUR had off weeks between the Tour Championship and the upcoming Fortinet Championship at Silverado (more on that later), the DP World Tour continued in Switzerland and Team Troon member Matt Fitzpatrick was in the field competing with his “all Troon bag”.

Fitzpatrick competed against a number of his future Ryder Cup teammates and his brother, Alex Fitzpatrick. Matt edged out Alex for this week’s brotherly bragging rights, finishing T3 after shooting a four-round total of -16 (Alex finished T5 at -15). Great playing, Fitzpatrick (both of ‘em)!

  • T3 Matt Fitzpatrick: 63-65-67-69 = 264 / -16

FROM THE PRIOR WEEK

PGA TOUR – Tour Championship

The week prior the PGA TOUR regular season concluded with the Tour Championship in Atlanta, GA. We were so very proud of Team Troon’s Matt Fitzpatrick on reaching the championship as well as playing so well all week. Fitzpatrick finished the event at T9 which moved him up the World Golf Rankings to #8. The rest of Team Troon World Rankings are as follows, Justin Thomas (#26), Matt Kuchar (#65), Alex Noren (#66) and Gary Woodland (#73). It’s been a great year watching them all play.

  • T9 Matt Fitzpatrick: 67-68-71-68 = 274 / -10

LPGA Tour- Canadian Women’s Open

Team Troon’s Yealimi Noh was back in the field for the Canadian Women’s Open and scored in the 70s all week. Noh has a record of playing well in Canada, winning the Canadian Women’s Amateur Championship in 2018.

  • T54 Yealimi Noh: 75-71-75-73 = 294 / +6

COMING UP NEXT WEEK

PGA TOUR- Fortinet Championship

The Fall season of the PGA TOUR schedule tees off at a Troon affiliated destination and the PGA TOUR professionals are making their way back to Silverado Resort and the Fortinet Championship next week. The event has been held at Silverado since 2015, making it the 9th year in a row. Our amazing team of associates at Silverado have done a great job getting the course in tour shape and wish everyone out there good luck. Two team Troon Members in in the field in Justin Thomas and Matt Kuchar. Good luck to Team Troon and the entire Silverado team!

SHAREABLE

Just a week ago this past Saturday, Team Troon member Cheyenne Woods headed to Jackson Park Golf Course in Chicago, Illinois (part of the Chicago Park District) to help us put on a complimentary junior golf clinic. The clinic was an absolute success as it involved a Q&A with Cheyenne, a meet and greet and activities for the junior golfers. Cheyenne also went above and beyond, taking to social and to her 115k followers on Instagram to share some amazing moments from the event. Thank you Cheyenne for helping us grow the game in Chicago and thank you to our amazing team of associates at Jackson Park and throughout the Chicago Park District!

Cheyenne Woods posts on Instagram about her visit to Jackson Park in Chicago.

The Grove is celebrating their 20 year anniversary this year and Matt Fitzpatrick took to his social channels to share a congratulations on this mile stone. He re-shared a previous Troon International tweet about The Grove milestone to his 186k followers on X (formerly Twitter). Thank you Matt for your kind words and recognition of The Grove!

Have a great week, and Go Team Troon!
