Team Troon On Tour – Open Championship Edition

Sending the World of Troon, an Open Championship Themed Team Troon on Tour!

We trust all are enjoying the early action in round one. It is exciting to see Team Troon players off to a great start. Alex Noren teed off early and posted a nice -2. Then Justin Thomas topped that and posted a great -3, 68 to get things started for Team Troon at Royal Troon. Team Troon is well-represented in the field, with members Alex Noren, Justin Thomas, Gary Woodland, and Matt Fitzpatrick all competing for the Claret Jug.

In celebration of The Open Championship, Matt Fitzpatrick will be showcasing an Open Championship-themed Troon golf bag, crafted by our friends at Sun Mountain.  The idea and inspiration for the bag design came from a fellow Troon Associate, Steven Payne, the General Manager of the Troon-managed Al Zorah Golf Club in the United Arab Emirates. During his visit to the Scottsdale office ahead of our Leadership Conference, he shared the idea of a UK stamp themed bag that paid homage to the “Postage Stamp” at Royal Troon. We put his idea into action. Two pre-tournament shots of the bag are below (the initial design comp follows in the sharable section).

Thank you Stephen for the great idea. There is a replica version of this bag being sent your way to display at Al Zorah GC!
