Q: When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up and please explain if there was a story around that.

A: When I was young, I toggled between wanting to be a flight attendant and a teacher. Both careers captivated my interest in different ways. The idea of traveling to new places and meeting people from all walks of life was exciting. On the other hand, the aspiration to be a teacher came from a desire to express my creativity daily and share knowledge with others, contributing to their growth. I am grateful that my career with Troon allows me to not only travel but to express my creativity and share my knowledge with other leaders.

Q: How long have you worked for Troon and what has been your career progression?

A: I’ve been with Troon 8 years. About six years into my private club career, I accepted a position as Membership & Marketing Director at Audubon Country Club in Naples, FL, a Troon managed private club. After 2 years under the leadership of Michael Rodriguez (28 year Troon General Manager) I transitioned into a Corporate role within the Troon Privé division based out of our headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ. Michael had a tremendous impact supporting my career path. My 10+ years working at a property level at a variety of private clubs, provides me with a unique perspective and a diverse skill set in my current role, working closely with 23 private clubs within my portfolio.

Q: What do you love most about your job?

A: I enjoy collaborating with owners and teams, leveraging best practices and strategic planning to grow Clubs and their memberships through a variety of platforms to achieve results in sales, revenue and retention. I love living out my ‘why’ daily, which is to use my creativity and organizational skills to inspire and transform. Passion is the difference between having a job and having a career, and I absolutely love what I do!

Q: What do you do in your daily job or life to inspire other women to get them interested in the game of golf or into the golf business as a career?

A: One of the most fulfilling aspects of my role as Senior Director, is leading the corporate onboarding and professional development for our private Club division sales & marketing leaders, hosting six private club boot camps per year totaling 200+ Troon leaders. I also derive immense joy from leading our sales & marketing internship each year. I enjoy being involved at the beginning of their journey and setting a foundation for their future-engaging them in meaningful projects and providing mentorship and support. It’s inspiring to see their enthusiasm and potential, and help them understand how they can grow and succeed within Troon.

Q: What is your favorite career quote?

A: Your smile is your logo, your personality is your business card and how you leave others feeling after an experience becomes your trademark.

Q: What is something you don’t mind sharing about yourself that not many people know about you?

A: I was a competitive cheerleader throughout my University years and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a double major in Psychology. Another fun fact is that my paternal grandparents are from Procida, Italy and I am a few months away from finalizing my dual citizenship!
