2025 Arizona Tennis Classic Delivers Exciting Week Of Professional Tennis At Phoenix Country Club

Phoenix, Ariz. (March 18, 2025) – The 2025 Arizona Tennis Classic delivered an exciting week of outstanding professional tennis at Phoenix Country Club. The ATP Challenger Tour event concluded on Sunday, March 16th with João Fonseca taking the singles title, and Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos winning the doubles championship. Arizona's sole professional tennis tournament, the Arizona Tennis Classic has been played at Phoenix Country Club since 2019 on three of the historic club’s primary hardcourts, including the center court with a multi-level grandstand.

“The 2025 Arizona Tennis Classic at Phoenix Country Club was nothing short of spectacular,” said Phoenix Country Club Chief Operating Officer Max Rascon. “From the incredible level of competition to the electric atmosphere created by our members and fans, this tournament continues to set the bar for world-class tennis in Phoenix. Hosting such an elite event is a privilege, and it was amazing to see our community come together to celebrate the sport at its finest.”

The ATP Challenger Tour is the springboard to fame for the future stars in men’s professional tennis, featuring world-class competition across the globe. This year’s tournament showcased a number of players ranked in the world’s top 50 along with some of the brightest young talent in the sport.

“The Arizona Tennis Classic delivered an exhilarating week of top-tier tennis at Phoenix Country Club,” said Phoenix Country Club Director of Racquet Sports Steve Edgington. “We congratulate João Fonseca on his impressive victory over Alexander Bublik in the singles final, with a score of 7–6, 7–6. In doubles, Marcel Granollers and Horacio Zeballos clinched the title, defeating Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram 6–3, 7–6(2). We look forward to continuing to grow the love of tennis at the Club.”

Led by Edgington, Phoenix Country Club has one of the state’s most prolific racquet sports programs with competitive men’s and women’s individual and team play. Equipped with 10 lighted hardcourts, play is available to Members and their guests daily until 10 p.m. An additional four permanent pickleball courts have been incorporated into the complex. The Club’s full-service Tennis Shop offers a full complement of apparel, shoes, rackets, and accessories for both on and off the courts. The Shop is also outfitted to handle re-stringing of racquets.
