Bonita National Golf & Country Club Lifestyle Director Receives Professional Scholarships

Bonita Springs, Fla. (January 18, 2023) – Bonita National Golf & Country Club is proud to announce that Membership and Lifestyle Director Nancy Dagher is the recipient of two professional scholarships – the 2022 Jay DePietro Scholarship by the Florida Chapter of the Club Management Association, and the 2023 James S. Singerling Scholarship awarded by the Club Management Association.

The Board of Directors of the Florida Chapter of the Club Management Association (FLCMAA) presented Dagher with the Jay DePietro Scholarship with great distinction in April 2022. Dagher, one of 14 recipients in the State of Florida, was part of the inaugural 2022 Class of the Jay DiPietro Scholarship Award Program – a program that supports CMAA professionals who are interested in pursuing the Certified Club Manager designation. The scholarship is in the name of industry luminary Jay DiPietro to memorialize his impact on the club industry, and the education of industry professionals. Dagher applied her scholarship funds to attend a Business Management Institute at Michigan State University (her alma mater) and earned a Certificate of Completion in Business Management General Manager/Chief Operating Officer.

The Club Management Association’s Club Foundation awarded the 2023 James S. Singerling Scholarship to Dagher in early November. Named in honor of Jim Singerling, CCM and his 25 years of organizational leadership, Dagher was one of four scholarship recipients in the United States. She will attend the annual CMAA World Conference and Club Business Expo in Orlando, Fla. in February 2023 for the first time as a club management professional. Dagher had the honor of meeting Mr. Singerling recently in Naples, Fla., receiving his best wishes and support on her path to becoming a club general manager.

“Having joined the Troon team in January 2022, I am thrilled to receive these 2 scholarships to contribute additional leadership in the areas of finance, service delivery, and building a better employee culture,” said Dagher.

Dagher has served as the Membership and Lifestyle Director at Bonita National Golf & Country Club since February 2021 and has been in the club and hospitality industry since 2015. Troon Privé, the private club operations division of Troon, manages Bonita National Golf & Country Club.
