Indian Wells, Calif. (June 27, 2024) – The Epson Tour announced today a new presenting sponsor for the season finale tournament, the Epson Tour Championship. Effective immediately, the tournament will be renamed to the Epson Tour Championship at Indian Wells.

“We are thrilled to have the City of Indian Wells join the Epson Tour as a presenting sponsor of the Epson Tour Championship,” said Jody Brothers, Chief Business and Operating Officer of the Epson Tour. “Moving the Epson Tour Championship to Indian Wells, California and having the city’s support elevates the Tour’s efforts to put on a great season-ending event and send 15 of our athletes off to the LPGA Tour, fulfilling a lifelong dream.”

The City of Indian Wells is no stranger to hosting big sporting events. In early March, the city hosts the BNP Paribas Open, one of the largest events of the year in tennis. The city of just over 5,000 residents welcomes over 493,000 spectators to their home to fill the stadiums at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Now, they will be hosting the biggest event on the Epson Tour schedule in early October as the last tournament of the 2024 season, the Epson Tour Championship will be played in Indian Wells.

“The City of Indian Wells is happy to welcome the 2024 Epson Tour Championship to the Indian Wells Golf Resort,” said Indian Wells Mayor Greg Sanders. “It is an honor to have our community recognized as a premier golf and sporting event destination. We look forward to sharing all Indian Wells has to offer with players and golf enthusiasts and all others attending this signature event.”

“As a California business, we are incredibly excited about moving the event from Florida to our home state. By hosting the event in Indian Wells, we celebrate our shared commitment to investing in woman’s sports and look forward to introducing our customers during tournament week to the beauty and vibrancy of the city.” Said Kendra Jones, Chief Legal and Sustainability Officer for Epson in the Americas.

As part of its partnership with the City of Indian Wells, the Epson Tour is offering exclusive benefits to Indian Wells residents, including access to a dedicated viewing deck on the 18th green and discounted offerings on general admission and hospitality ticket packages as well as Pro-Am playing opportunities. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at epsontourchampionship.com/tickets/.

The Epson Tour Championship at Indian Wells will be contested on the Players Course layout at Indian Wells Golf Resort from October 3-6, 2024. The field of 108 players will be playing for a $287,500 purse with the winner taking home $43,125 and 650 points towards the Race for the Card, the most points awarded all season. Indian Wells Golf Resort is a world-class golf, vacation, culinary and events destination, and the John Fought designed Players Course is also known as “The Beast,” giving the athletes a test on the course and plenty to do off it in the Coachella Valley.

After the tournament concludes, the top-15 athletes in the season-long Race for the Card standings will achieve a lifelong dream, LPGA Tour Membership for the 2025 season. They will also have a chance to become one of 10 Epson Tour ambassadors in 2025, representing the Epson Tour on a global stage.
