Jack Jerge Wins Grapevine Amateur at Silverado

NAPA, California – Jack Jerge (Pleasant Hill, CA) birdied four of his last five holes, including his last three, to shoot a final round 67 (-5) to break free from a large pack of contenders and win the Grapevine Amateur by two shots at Silverado Resort and Spa. Jerge, a sophomore on the University of Southern California golf team, shot 69 and 70 in rounds 1 and 2 to put him at -10 overall. Two shots back in second place was Shaojun Luo (China) who also finished 2nd place at last week’s Coachella Amateur. Hartej Grewal (Pleasanton, CA) and Edan Cui (Atherton, CA) finished another shot back at -7 to finish 3rd.

JERGE ON THE WIN: “It’s always wet here every year, it’s my fourth time coming here. So kind of knew what to expect coming into the week. And stayed patient had a bunch of mistakes the first and second rounds. Was able to clean that up today and was able to finish strong and come out with the win.”
