Naperville Country Club To Host Annual Swing For Scholars Tournament

Naperville, Ill. (August 8, 2023) – Naperville Country Club will host the 25th Annual Swing for Scholars Golf Tournament, which benefits the Manny and Pat Pulido Sánchez Foundation, August 14th from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Longtime Naperville Country Club members Manny and Pat Pulido Sánchez first brought the tournament to the club in 2019 to raise funds for scholarships for disadvantaged youth, specifically first-generation Americans of Hispanic descent for college, trade school, private high schools and other educational needs.

“Naperville Country Club is thrilled to welcome back the Swing for Scholars tournament, one of our favorite traditions,” said Naperville Country Club General Manager Brad McMillan. “We look forward to welcoming golfers, corporate supporters and scholarship recipients to the club for a great day of fundraising and comradery.”

The Swing for Scholars tournament includes breakfast, lunch, a golf clinic, a cocktail hour with live auction and an awards presentation. Registration includes golf accessories provided by corporate supporters of the scholarship and Chicago Scholars. Scholarship recipients will attend the clinic and reception and give acceptance speeches during the awards program.

Swing for Scholars is an annual golf tournament that supports low-income students in the Chicago Scholars program. Since 2019, the tournament has benefitted the Manny & Pat Pulido Sánchez Foundation, which provides eligible students with a four-year scholarship of $5,000 per year, totaling $20,000.
