Red Ledges Named “Best Of State” For 15th Consecutive Year

HEBER CITY, UTAH (May 16, 2024) – Red Ledges’ Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course has been named “Best of State” for the 15th consecutive year by Utah’s Best of State Advisory Board. Representatives from Utah’s premier private four-season community will be on hand to receive the award at the Best of State Awards Gala on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Best of State Awards were created to recognize outstanding individuals, organizations, and businesses in Utah. By recognizing excellence in the community and sharing examples of success and triumph in so many worthy endeavors, the Best of State awards hope all will be inspired to reach a little higher, to try a little harder, and to work a little smarter for our dreams and goals. The Best of State Judges are looking for individuals, businesses, and organizations that:

  • Excel in their endeavors
  • Use innovative approaches or methods
  • Contribute to a better quality of life in Utah

“We are so proud to be recognized by Best of State once again,” said Red Ledges’ General Manager John Johnson. “This award is the culmination of countless hours of hard work by our dedicated professionals from golf operations and maintenance over the past 15 years, most of whom have been here since the course opened in 2009.”

Located in the Heber Valley, less than 45 minutes from Salt Lake City, Red Ledges offers two nationally acclaimed golf courses, year-round recreational activities, and a multitude of residential opportunities. The 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, the 200th U.S. course by Nicklaus Design, has been recognized as not only the best private Utah course but also as one of the top courses in the nation by many of the most respected and prominent media in the country. In 2014, the course received a special honor as it was selected by Jack Nicklaus as one of his “Golden 18” to be featured in the book “Golden 18” a showcase of legendary Clubs designed by Jack Nicklaus. Red Ledges also features the first-ever Jack Nicklaus Signature 12-Hole Golf Park. The Golf Park features four sets of tees on every hole. The course also features two holes and flags per green, a traditional 4 ¼” hole and an 8” hole. The course encourages walking and provides golfers the option of using a Golf Board for those looking for a new way to play the game. In 2023, Red Ledges added a new Golf Lounge with two Foresight Golf Simulators allowing members year-round access to golf simulators to work on their games. In addition, the Club saw a $2.3 million addition/renovation to the clubhouse that more than doubled seating capacity. It also allowed the Club to expand the bar and develop an Après culture for members to gather after a round of golf. 2023 also saw the addition of a new $9 million, 10,000 square foot Wellness Center, a well-appointed fitness facility that is adjacent to the 12-Hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Park. Golf Inc. Magazine recently named the Wellness Center “Amenity of the Year.”

Established in October 2007 by community founders Tony Burns and Nolan Archibald, Red Ledges has become a premier Rocky Mountain private resort, golf, and tennis community. Red Ledges features spectacular scenery and mountain living in relaxed luxury, minutes from Park City, Utah. In addition to golf, Red Ledges offers world-class amenities for every season including tennis and pickleball programing, an active member ski club and on-mountain ski lodges, and an equestrian center. The luxurious clubhouse features a full-service restaurant and bar, signature sports shop, and pool.

Red Ledges’ club operations are managed by Troon Privé, the private club operations division of Troon. For more information on Red Ledges, visit www.redledges.com.
