Robby Keilch Wins Agave Amateur

INDIO, California – Robby Keilch (Newport Beach, CA) used a tournament-low tying final round of 64 (-7) to win the Agave Amateur by 5 shots today. Keilch, a junior on the Sonoma State University golf team, came into the final round in 2nd place, once shot behind Benjamin Scott of Manhattan Beach. Keilch took the lead early in the final round, birdieing holes 5, 6, and 7 and never looked back. He was bogey free the rest of the day en route to the 64. Most impressive was Keilch birdied 4 of the 5 par-3s at Shadow Hills. Finishing five shots behind Keilch at -11 in 2nd place were Nathan Tseng (Fullerton, CA) and Sihao Cong (Temecula, CA). Max Margolis of nearby Rancho Mirage, was another shot back in 4th at -10.

KEILCH ON THE WIN: “It means a lot. I would say I played the par-5s really well and was super patient. Just did my best to stay in the moment all week and I think did a really good job of that. It gives me a lot of confidence that I know I can win. And hopefully building off of that doing it again during the season.”

WEATHER: While cool to start each day, perfect temperatures showered competitors all week with highs in the mid-70s with very light winds all week.
