Troon International’s Moroccan Jewel Appoints New Golf Visionary To Enhance Esteemed Resort, Al Houara Golf Club
Tangier City, Morocco. (10 January, 2024) – Troon has appointed the vastly experienced Mounim Ghetreff as Golf Manager at Al Houara Golf Club. Ghettref boasts more than three decades of experience in a diverse range of roles. With an extensive background of strategic management, and having held CEO positions across Africa and the Middle East, Ghetreff will combine his passion for golf with his remarkable experience to oversee golf course operations.

Having served as a general manager and leader of commercial and operational teams, Ghetreff has showcased considerable expertise and effective leadership skills, with his contributions playing a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency and fostering revenue growth.
Whilst holding positions as Deputy Managing Director at Golf Hossegor and Managing Director of Vittel Ermitage Golf Club, both in France, Ghetreff has consistently ensured outstanding experiences for members and guests. Under his guidance, Golf Vittel Ermitage underwent a successful revitalization and transformation, improving its operational structure and boosting sales.
A highly qualified individual, Ghetreff graduated with a PhD in physics from Lille University in France, further complemented by a master’s degree in finance from Paris Sorbonne Business School. In addition to these remarkable credentials, Ghetreff also graduated as the valedictorian at the International Academy of Golf Professions.
On his appointment, Mounim Ghetreff, Golf Manager of Al Houara Golf Club, said: “It is an immense privilege to be entrusted with the role of Golf Manager at Al Houara, and I am eager to embark on this exciting journey to provide exceptional experiences and maintain the course to the highest of standards. To further enhance its operations, Al Houara Golf Club appointed Troon, the leader in golf and club-related leisure and hospitality services, in November 2023 to manage and provide expertise across the agronomy, marketing and operational divisions. Troon International, the international division of Troon, oversees and offers services to resorts across the globe with courses in Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region, with a particular expertise in Morrocco.
