HEBER CITY, UTAH (July 27, 2023) – Red Ledges, an award-winning community in Heber City, Utah, has received the 2023 United States Tennis Association’s (USTA) Outstanding Facility Award. The award recognizes Red Ledges on a national level for the community’s exemplary tennis venue and commitment toward the growth and development of tennis in the region. The official awards ceremony will take place on August 28th at the U.S. Open in Flushing, New York.

Managed by Cliff Drysdale Tennis, a Troon Company, and Director of Racket Sports Michael Topp, Red Ledges is home to one of the most scenic tennis clubs in the Park City region, offering a full slate of clinics, lessons, camps, leagues and special events for members. In 2022, Red Ledges unveiled six new tennis courts and six new pickleball courts, adding to the four outdoor and two indoor tennis courts already in existence. The Cliff Drysdale Tennis program does a tremendous job of introducing the sport to adults and juniors, while also fielding many USTA League teams, helping to create a strong tennis community in Utah.

“We are truly honored to receive the 2023 USTA Outstanding Facility Award,” said Topp. “This recognition reflects our dedication to providing an exceptional tennis venue and fostering the growth of tennis in our region. At Red Ledges, we strive to offer top-notch programs and events for our members, and this award motivates us to continue promoting the sport to players of all ages and skill levels.”

In 2019, the USTA’s Utah division awarded Red Ledges the ‘Organization of the Year’ for their efforts in growing tennis at all levels in a previously underserved area. Red Ledges is also a two-time winner of Cliff Drysdale Tennis’ ‘Club of the Year’ award, in 2018 and 2022.

“The USTA Outstanding Facility Award is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our entire team at Red Ledges,” said Red Ledges’ General Manager John Johnson. “We are delighted to be recognized on a national level for our efforts in developing a strong tennis community in Utah. This award is a reflection of our dedication to providing world-class amenities and experiences to our valued members.”

Established in October 2007 by community founders Tony Burns and Nolan Archibald, Red Ledges has become a premier Rocky Mountain private resort, golf and tennis community. Longtime Burns family friends and partners such as Cliff Drysdale, Jack Nicklaus and Jim McLean have helped to create an authentic mountain lifestyle complementing the world-class offerings of nearby Park City.

“It fills me with great pride to see Red Ledges receive the USTA Outstanding Facility Award,” said Cliff Drysdale, Founder of Cliff Drysdale Tennis. “From the beginning, our vision for Red Ledges was to create a true mountain oasis that celebrates the love of sports, community, and nature. The recognition we have received over the years, including this prestigious award, is a testament to the collective passion and dedication invested in this exceptional community.”

Drysdale visited Red Ledges in June for several events to celebrate the addition of the six new tennis and six new pickleball courts. The tennis legend attended a reception, tennis and pickleball clinics, and a tennis round robin with lunch.

Red Ledges resort community features spectacular scenery and mountain living in relaxed luxury, minutes from Park City, Utah. With world-class amenities for every season, Red Ledges offers an award-winning Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course and first-of-its kind family-friendly Golf Park, tennis and pickleball programing, an active member ski club, and an equestrian center. The luxurious clubhouse features a full-service restaurant and bar, signature sports shop, fitness club, and pool.

Red Ledges’ club operations are managed by Troon Privé, the private club operations division of Troon. For more information on Red Ledges, visit www.redledges.com.
