WESTCHESTER HILLS GOLF CLUB HEAD GOLF PROFESSIONAL CHRIS MARINARO SETS COURSE RECORD WITH A 59
White Plains, N.Y. (June 25, 2024) – Westchester Hills Golf Club Head Golf Professional Chris Marinaro set a new course record with a score of 59. He posted the round with two members on June 21st, 2024 with nine birdies and an eagle. The course was recently re-designed by Rees Jones in 2022, and played at 6,492 yards and to a par of 70.
In the 111 years of the club’s history only six head professionals have been named as the lead professional to represent Westchester Hills pride, legacy and history. Chris, a decorated PGA Professional since 2010, took the role at Westchester Hills in 2023.
Westchester Hills, located in White Plains, NY, recently held the inaugural WH Pro Am, where 18 of the top PGA MET, CT Section Pros and current Tour Players, including Marinaro, competed with four Westchester Hills members in an 18 hole competition. Low score in that event was 66 and Marinaro outpaced that days leader by seven shots to record the club’s new course record of 59.
For perspective, only 13 PGA Professionals in history have posted a 59 in PGA TOUR history, most recently Cameroon Young in 2024 at the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands in Connecticut.
