Yorba Linda, Calif. (September 25, 2023) – Yorba Linda Country Club is pleased to welcome David Russi as the club’s new general manager. Russi will oversee all elements of the country club, including golf and tennis operations, food and beverage, member services, as well as associate training and development.

A Southern California native, Russi has 20 years of business management experience and possesses a deep passion for the game of golf. He most recently served as the general manager at Hackberry Creek Country Club in Irving, Texas. Prior to his work in Texas, Russi was the general manager at Spring Valley Lake Country Club in Victorville, Calif. From 2015-2018, Russi served as general manager of Tomson Shanghai Pudong Golf Course, a championship course located in the center of downtown Shanghai, China.

“I’m thrilled to be working for the esteemed Troon organization as the new general manager of Yorba Linda Country Club,” said Russi. “I look forward to creating a winning culture among members and staff by aligning Troon’s core values at the heart of YLCC.”

A graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science in Parks, Recreation, Tourism and PGA Golf Management, Russi is a Class A member of the PGA of America. When not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, visiting the Southern California coastline and playing golf and tennis.

“David’s got the leadership DNA that will insure employee morale and member culture at Yorba Linda Country Club continue to escalate,” said Troon Senior Vice President of Operations Bill O’Brien. “Being from the area, he has a clear sense as to what makes Southern California amazing and cannot wait to return!”

Yorba Linda Country Club is set in the rolling hills of North Orange County, not far from the Richard Nixon Presidential Library & Museum. The club’s Harold Rainville-designed course opened for play in 1957, plays to a par of 71 and measures 6,834 yards. The golf practice facility includes a practice range, a large putting green and a short-game practice area. Yorba Linda’s clubhouse features an elegant formal dining room; a casual members’ grill; men’s and women’s locker rooms; a full-service golf and tennis pro shop; and a variety of meeting rooms and banquet facilities. Club amenities include eight lighted tennis courts, a heated Junior Olympic-sized swimming pool and a wading pool.

Troon Privé, the private club operating division of Troon, began managing the private facility in April 2021.For information on Yorba Linda Country Club, visit www.yorbalindaclub.com.
